English schoolboys went through a strict regime during the last century particularly in boys only schools where most of them could expect to have their bottoms spanked by schoolmasters most days and usually in front of each other. Here a detention class get the strap across their bottoms before having to write essays on the first world war. They also hear and see the cane swishing down to spank their bottoms with six strokes of the very best.
